Kids karate

Kids aged 3 to 5 will have an ​absolute blast while learning Self-​Defense! Students will boost ​concentration and refine motor ​skills essential to young ​development.

Students ages 5+ can increase their ​attention and confidence while ​mastering crucial self-defense skills. ​Improve Grades and learn to deal ​with Bullies with Life Lessons ​learned in the Dojo

Gain realistic self-defense skills, reduce ​stress, and experience a positive ​transformation with our training program ​designed for teens and adults. Get in shape, ​tone up, and slim down while learning how to ​protect yourself.

Ancient Okinawa Weapons, ​taught to mature students in a ​responsible manner. Learn how ​to defend yourself against any ​object that can be used as a ​weapon.

After ​school ​karate

Since 1996, The Bushikan Karate ​Dojo has actively participated in ​the After School Karate Programs ​at La Costa Meadows, San Elijo, and ​Double Peak Elementary Schools.

The Bushikan Dojo has strong ties to ​the Martial Arts community with Dojo ​throughout the USA and the World.

Our Instructors

Franco Sanguinetti Sensei

Franco Sanguinetti Sensei has been involved in training, teaching ​and promoting traditional martial arts for over 52 years. Part of his ​extensive experience includes training with renowned world wide ​instructors such as Morio Higaonna Sensei in Okinawan Goju Ryu ​Karate and Shinpo Matayoshi Sensei, founder of Matayoshi Kobudo. ​Sanguinetti Sensei teaches Karate and Kobudo locally as well as ​around the world.

Sanguinetti Sensei holds the rank of Hachi Dan (8th Dan) in ​Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate, Kyu Dan (9th Dan) in Matayoshi Kobudo.

Ch​risan Robinson Sensei

Chrisan Robinson Sensei began training with Sanguinetti ​Sensei in 2002. She teaches the after school Karate ​programs at San Elijo, Double Peak and La Costa Meadows ​Elementary Schools a​s well as at the Bushikan Dojo.

Robinson Sensei holds​ the rank of Go Dan (5th Dan) in Okinawan Goju Ry​u Karate and Go Da​n​ (5th Dan) in Matayoshi Kobudo.
